'I went to get a fringe cut but hairdresser left me looking like Frodo Baggins',Annie McElvein, 25, decided to take the plunge and have a fringe, but she didn't anticipate she's end up looking like the hobbit from Lord of the Rings. All she wanted was to leave the salon with new "bangs"

A curly-haired woman who hoped to get "bangs" after paying the hairdresser a visit said she was left looking like Frodo Baggins following a trip to the salon.
Annie McElvein, 25, decided to take the plunge and have a fringe, but she didn't anticipate the beauty stunt would result in her looking like the hobbit from Lord of the Rings.
She was shocked when she washed her new hair, and glanced in the mirror, to see a stark resemblance to Frodo Baggins.

Luckily Annie is chuffed with the outcome as she "enjoys looking different" – and hopes to one day meet Frodo actor Elijah Wood.
Annie, an environmental science student, who lives in Queenstown, New Zealand, said: "I just thought it would be fun to have bangs, and ended up looking like Frodo Baggins.
"I didn't ask to look like him, but I'm not upset about it. I'm a huge Lord Of The Rings fan so when I noticed I was like 'hell yeah!'"
