Which TV Or Movie Character Was The Absolute Worst In 2022?
Looking back on the past year, there were a number of incredible TV shows and movies that gave us comfort, made us laugh, provided escapism and educated us on important issues. In saying that, there were also a couple of duds that I wish I could erase from my mind.
But no matter if it’s bad or good, there will always be characters who are problematic, get on our nerves or are just flat-out annoying.
So, we want to give you — the BuzzFeed Community — the chance to vent by telling us about the TV show or movie characters from 2022 you consider to be the absolute worst.
A recent example that comes to mind is Ser Criston Cole from House Of The Dragon, who morphed into a moody and vindictive pile of garbage after Rhanerya refused to marry him.
HBO/BingeSpeaking of selfish and self-indulgent characters, Cassie from Euphoria definitely has to be up there with her questionable choices and problematic behaviour concerning Nate.
HBO/BingeAnd then there’s also Jason Carver from Stranger Things, who was a bully that had no redeeming qualities. In fact, I think the plot of Season 4 would have been improved if he hadn’t been included.
NetflixPlus, sometimes it’s not just a character’s personality that makes them unlikeable, but how they’re portrayed. I’m still annoyed over Kya in Where The Crawdads Sing because she was meant to have grown up dirt-poor in a swamp, yet still looked picture-perfect every time she came into town.
Sony PicturesI was expecting her to be more gritty and feral, almost. But the movie had her in stylish clothes that fit her perfectly.
And then there was Harry Styles’ character, Jack, in Don’t Worry Darling, which really missed the mark.
