You can now book stays on a reindeer retreat for a Christmas staycation
Families looking for a country escape this winter time can enjoy the ultimate festive retreat without having to spend money on flights.
Barn Owl Cottage in Kidwelly, West Wales, is based on a private smallholding where the owner raises reindeer.
The small rental cottage sleeps up to six people – plus one dog – and you’ll even get to meet the owner’s reindeers.

Those who choose to can also arrange to get stuck into farmyard activities which is sure to be a novel experience for children.
