The late Aaron Carter is being remembered in the sweetest way by his on-and-off again fiancée Melanie Martin with whom she shares a son, one-year-old Prince.

Aaron sadly passed away on Saturday, November 5, in his home in Lancaster, California, where he was found unresponsive in his bathtub by a housekeeper. And now, in honor of his memory, Martin posted a picture the deceased took before his death, showing an intimate moment he could not help but capture.

As seen on the social media icon’s Insta Story, the late singer-songwriter was all smiles, laying on a bed with pillows cushioning his head as he took the picture. While capturing the pink-hued shot, Martin, who was sleeping, had her hand on his face with her head resting on his body, possibly amusing him.

Attaching a heartfelt message to the update, the bereaved indicated how much she missed such moments with him. She wrote, “October 29th, last pic he took – I was always passed out on him like this – he let me sleep on him instead of pilows I miss this so much.”

In the meantime, preparations for spreading Aaron’s ashes have been made as it will be done in his native state, Florida, where some of his remains will be with his mother, Jane, when she dies.

Jane told TMZ that the family will strew the deceased rapper’s ashes in the Florida Keys during spring to join the remains of his late sister, Leslie Carter. It was also reported that the family intends to keep some of his and Leslie’s ashes for later burial with their mother.

According to Jane, the 34-year-old’s remains are currently with his twin sister Angel who informed the outlet that her brother’s partner Martin would not be included in the family’s ceremony next year in the Keys.

Fans may be aware that Aaron was cremated soon after he was found dead in a bathtub at his California home recently. The scene also had some containers of compressed air, which law enforcement found.

It is widely known that the deceased struggled with substance abuse throughout most of his adult life and was only in his mid-thirties when he died. Furthermore, his sister Leslie died at the age of 25, back in 2012, and her husband, Mike, reportedly has her ashes.

Ahead of the memorial service, Lance Blass reached out to Angel and Aaron’s brother Nick, offering his L.A. home for the family to use for the ceremony. However, the Carters have halted their plans given that they have received death threats since the “Oh Aaron” star’s demise.

Naturally, Jane admitted to missing her son and revealed that he died mere days after he texted to check how the family was faring in Florida.

After the untimely death of Aaron, his then-lover, Martin, whose world was shattered by the news, gained inspiration to know more about the afterlife. The Blast noted that she posted a screenshot of Michael Newton’s “Journey of Souls: Case Studies of Life Between Lives” on her Instagram Story.

The post included a note: “When my friend opened this page, it said nothing about a butterfly.” Proving her point, the former bartender shared another screenshot of the same book with a quote from Rabindranath Tagore. The saying read, “The butterfly counts not months but moments and has time enough.”

Martin evidently was in search of answers to what happens after death in Newton’s book, explaining what dying feels like, the purpose of life, and how to identify soulmates. As the mother of Aaron’s only child, she not only dealt with the loss of the “DWTS” star but also had to cater to their child alone.

In addition, there was no will for her to fall back on as the “Fool’s Gold” star died without making a legal will, leaving his property in the hands of the Stae of California to determine who would inherit them.

Nevertheless, it seems his son may end up inheriting most or all of his assets, given that California’s intestate succession law allows the child of a dead unmarried person without a will to inherit the deceased’s possession.
