Marcus Rashford ‘should start over Harry Kane’ if England are ‘going to have success’
Gareth Southgate has been told to drop Harry Kane and start Marcus Rashford up front if England are going to have success – despite them both starting in the win over Wales.
Kane led the line in England's three group fixtures and set-up three goals to lead the assist tally at the World Cup – but has failed to find the net himself.
With Manchester United star Rashford scoring from the bench against Iran and twice after starting against Wales, David James wants to see Southgate take action.

Speaking to GGRecon about Rashford, former England goalkeeper James said: "I think if you start him then you’re going to have success."
Then giving his preferred XI for the last 16 clash against Senegal, James left Kane out entirely while picking a new look midfield.
He said: "I’d have Jordan Pickford in goal, John Stones and Harry Maguire as the centre-back pairing and Luke Shaw at left-back.

"If Kyle Walker was fully fit, then I’d have him over Kieran Trippier. You’d need to have Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham as the two in central midfield.
"Then I’d have Bukayo Saka on the right of midfield, Jack Grealish on the left, Marcus Rashford up top and Phil Foden in behind him.
“If you want to get the best out of Phil Foden, then give him some familiarity.”
James knows a thing or two about World Cup knockout fixtures, playing in England's 4-1 defeat at the hands of Germany back in 2010.
England won Group B with their seven points, scoring nine goals in the process, but Southgate was hit with criticism for not playing Foden against the United States.
The 22-year-old then tormented Wales with his fresh legs – and slotted home from an expert Kane assist after Rashford's free-kick opener.
