A gym babe flaunted her "period belly" to show how menstruating can make your weight "jump" on the scales.

Online coach Molly, AKA Molly Ava Fit to her over 100,000 Instagram followers, is known for sharing body positive content.

Now she's shown how factors such as periods can have a big impact on how women's bodies look.

In a recent post, Molly shared two pictures of herself side-by-side to show how being on her period changes her body.

Before her period started she looked toned and slender, but when she started menstruating her tummy appeared a lot fuller and bloated.

She said it can lead to her weighing heavier on the scales as a woman's body holds more water weight during this time.
