Rihanna branded World Cup hottie a ‘Colombian cutie’ after being caught on camera
Rihanna changed the life of a World Cup fan by branding her a "Colombian cutie" after she was caught on camera at a game.
The pop megastar was heavily invested in the 2014 tournament in Brazil, attending several games and live tweeting her thoughts to her millions of followers. One of her posts was a short clip of a Colombia supporter who had been picked out by broadcasters.
The woman in question was 34-year-old Natalia Betancourt, who replied to the tweet: "It leaves me speechless that a woman I admire so much put this up!!"

And Betancourt, now 42, soon shot to fame in her home country as a result. She was the cover star on magazines and took part in the Colombian edition of American TV show Dancing with the Stars.
Reflecting on her fame with the BBC in 2018, she said: "I had no idea the cameras would zoom on me. And of course, I had no idea how it would all grow from there. It was a fun moment, but I thought that was it.

"A few seconds of fame and a nice Twitter interaction with a pop star I admire. That image opened the doors of the media for me. I had nothing to do with that world before, I owned a construction supplies company with my boyfriend."
Betancourt got to meet Rihanna, who also made a mark in front of the cameras during the World Cup when she flashed her boobs to the crowd during the final between Germany and Argentina.
Eight years on, Betancourt has 1.1million Instagram followers after making a success of herself in the modelling industry. She has the "honey shot" to thank, which is when a conventionally attractive woman is focused on by cameras at a sporting event.
FIFA gave the instruction to stop zooming in on "hot women" for the 2018 World Cup in Russia amid criticism of objectification, but it's been a common theme of coverage in Qatar this time around.
Barely a game has gone by without multiple honey shots. And having been propelled to a whole new life by one, Betancourt is all for them.
She said: "I did not know what a honey shot was. I don't think it's offensive or objectifying. I think in a way it's good that it shows that football is a sport for both women and men."
