A Place In The Sun's Jonnie Irwin has said that he is "filled with painkillers" after enduring a "torrid night in pain".

The 49-year-old Channel 4 presenter, who has terminal cancer, has given his followers on Instagram a health update just weeks after revealing his diagnosis.

Taking to Instagram to share a stunning snap of the Windemere countryside, Jonnie wrote a candid caption which touched the hearts of many of his fans and followers.

Alongside the picturesque snap, Jonnie penned: "After a torrid night in pain I dosed up on PK’s [painkillers] and was able to enjoy the beautiful Lakes via E-mtb [electric mountain bike]."
