Raheem Sterling left out of England’s squad for Senegal match to deal with family matter
Raheem Sterling was left out of England's squad for their World Cup clash against Senegal for after his Surrey home was broken into by burglars with Gareth Southgate telling media that family comes first,
Sterling, 27, is a key figure in Southgate's England squad and will now fly home from Qatar as his team-mates secured a 3-0 victory to book a semi-final date against France, for which Sterling could return.
Sterling scored in England's opening game against Iran and started against the United States before he was an unused substitute in the win over Wales.

A short statement on the England Twitter account read: "Raheem Sterling is not available for selection for the #ThreeLions tonight as he is dealing with a family matter."
With Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden starting, Marcus Rashford played a role off the bench in the victory, after which details emerged of the robbery which took place when his partner Paige Milian and there children were at home.
Sterling had played a vital role in England's route to the final of Euro 2020 last year, becoming a key player for his country since Southgate's arrival in 2016.
Sterling has scored 20 goals across his 81 appearances for England since his debut way back in 2012, 16 of which have came over the past four years.
Southgate had shown faith in the forward by handing him a start against Iran despite his indifferent Chelsea form since his summer move to Manchester City, which he repaid with his early goal.
Saka came in for Rashford in Southgate's only change to the XI that beat Wales, with Kyle Walker keeping his spot at right back with Kieran Trippier left out again.
Should England have enough to beat Senegal without Sterling then they will meet France in a quarter-final thanks to Kylian Mbappe's brace against Poland.
