The Simpsons is no stranger to parodies and video games. On the December 4 episode, the animated show combined the two to tackle Roblox with a title called Boblox. Bart and Milhouse are seen playing the spoof on a PC, with avatars of themselves on the monitor.

The official Simpsons Twitter channel gave a brief synopsis of the episode, stating: “the gamer to crypto bro pipeline.” Another tweet showed that Maggie could speak within Boblox because of emojis. And judging from the video, the whole family is playing the spoof, not just Bart.

Matt Selman, showrunner for The Simpsons, shared storyboard images for the episode titled “Game Done Changed” on his Twitter page. Bart teams up with Principal Skinner after discovering a glitch in Boblox that sees them creating a criminal enterprise. This even leads to the animated show taking a shot at the HBO classic, The Wire.

Back in October, The Simpsons featured a Death Note anime parody for its Treehouse of Horrors special. The episode also contained spoofs of The Babadook and Westworld.

Meanwhile, Roblox keeps on reeling in real bucks. The gaming platform reportedly made $7 million daily in September. That same month saw Chipotle even debut a new menu item inside Roblox.

Earlier this year, Sonic the Hedgehog raced onto Roblox. Another collaboration saw Nerf releasing a Zombie Attack: Viper Strike blaster inspired by one of the experiences inside the gaming platform.

For those unfamiliar, Roblox is an online platform that lets players create games and engage with those experiences. It’s extremely popular and had nearly 55 million daily active users back in January.
