Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness sees the return of Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen & a few other big surprise characters who appear.

Warning: This post contains MAJOR spoilers for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness cast and character guide. It’s been nearly six years since Dr. Stephen Strange stepped into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since his introduction, the sorcerer has been thrown into various situations of the cosmic, time travel, and multiverse variety. Now that Doctor Strange has finally got a sequel movie, things are going to get even more intense for him.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness follows the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which saw Doctor Strange’s spell to help the web-slinging hero go awry. It opened up cracks in the multiverse, which allowed people from different dimensions to pop over to the MCU’s primary world. The sequel sees Doctor Strange recruiting Wanda Maximoff and others to traverse the multiverse in search of someone he believes to be the enemy — only to discover Wanda is the enemy. The film will explore what Doctor Strange’s life might have looked like if he hadn’t become a Sorcerer Supreme, as well as other iterations of him and the rest of the characters.

The MCU film will further unlock the multiverse in ways that have yet to be explored yet. Loki and Spider-Man: No Way Home merely scraped the tip of the iceberg in terms of what is possible. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness brings back familiar faces in the MCU while introducing new characters as well. Here is the full guide to the cast, which characters they play, and in what movies and TV shows the audience have seen them in before.
