It has been eight years since Big Hero 6 was released in theaters, combining the world of Marvel Comics and Disney Animation and introducing the world to the superhero team led by Hiro Hamada (Ryan Potter), with the breakout character being the inflatable robot nurse Baymax (Scott Adsit). The film series has launched its own franchise, with a 2D animated series Big Hero 6: The Series running from 2017 to 2021. During Disney Investor Day 2020, it was announced a new series focused on Baymax would be coming to Disney+.

The trailer showcases Baymax getting into a series of adventures around the city of San Fransokyo, fulfilling his original primary purpose as a nurse and helping people with their injuries, even if they don’t need help. Hiro will return for the series, along with his aunt Cass (Maya Rudolph). A new poster was also released highlighting the series’ main cast.
