Sam Asghari Breaks Silence On Britney Spears’ Social Media Behavior
On Wednesday night, Sam Asghari took to his Instagram Stories to answer questions long asked by fans of his wife, singer Britney Spears.
Although the two were married in June, fans noticed that the “Hold Me Closer” singer is rarely spotted out in public. Instead, she often shares photos and videos taken from her living room, prompting many to wonder if she really is as “free” as she claims to be.
However, the Iranian actor claimed that it is Britney’s choice how she chooses to use social media and her decision not to attend red carpet events with him, as she finds them “not fun.”
Sam Asghari Says Britney Spears ‘Has Her Voice’ & Respects Her Privacy, Asks Fans To Do The Same
The “Hot Seat” actor began his lengthy Instagram statement writing, “Social media can be traumatizing. Sometimes it’s good to take a break. She has her voice and is a free woman. I have respect for her privacy and I protect it at all times. Thank you to all of her protective fans.”
“Out of respect for her privacy, I don’t post her 24/7,” he added. “I ask for permission if I ever do.” However, this isn’t entirely true. Fans recently called out the former fitness trainer for going on Instagram Live without informing his wife that he was doing so. It prompted Britney’s confusing repetitive response of “I’m always Live” before she later added, “I don’t want to talk to them” and Sam quickly shut off the Live.

“For my job, I have to attend many events,” he continued. “It would be my honor if she joins. For her, those things are not fun. They’re [hectic] and full of stress. [Specially], since she’s been doing these things since 8 years old. Plus she already slayed every single one she has been to.”
“I’ve always respected and supported her privacy with everything I’ve had,” he continued. “I ask of you supportive and protective fans to do the same. Sometimes, being over protective can cause more stress and damage.”
Sam posted the message in a series of slides to his Instagram Stories so fans couldn’t comment on it. He also turned off comments on a video he posted on Friday which featured him setting up the living room for Britney’s 41st birthday.

Shortly after news of Sam Asghari’s Instagram Story started to circulate, the “Stronger” singer posted a photo of a woman looking behind her using a compact mirror. In the caption, Britney wrote, “Who’s talking behind my back ??? ??? Jesus Christ … I think I’m scared to f—ing turn around !!! GOD I LOVE YOU ALL !!!”
Britney had deleted her Instagram account yesterday, but it was back up and running by Thursday morning. One user commented, “No one was talking behind your back? We are all concerned about you. Your account just disappeared with no explanation and now all of a sudden you’re back ?”
Another follower chimed in, writing, “Well if she had done a LIVE so we can actually see she’s ok there wouldn’t be no need for concern it’s like we’re talking to a brick wall!! All she has to do is say thanks guys I see your concern and I’m fine. Some sort of acknowledgment that’s all.”
Others felt that there was something wrong and wondered why Sam went through the trouble of explaining Britney’s behavior on his Instagram account instead of letting her speak for herself. One user commented, “THIS ACCOUNT IS SAM’S, NOT BRITNEY’S. THIS ACCOUNT IS SAM. NOT BRITNEY.”
Another follower responded, “Y’all need to stop assuming. It’s clear that some things are off here. But y’all keep putting a false narrative on things without any proof whatsoever. This isn’t me saying it isn’t him. But it’s me also saying it could NOT be him.”
Fans aren’t sure what is going on with Britney Spears and Sam Asghari, but they’re hoping that Britney will go on Instagram Live and explain for herself the meaning behind her cryptic Instagram posts once and for all.
