Jennifer Lawrence once revealed her biggest fear about sex.

Although the on-screen star walked down the aisle with Cooke Maroney in 2019 and welcomed a baby boy earlier this year, she was previously not shy to inform the world that her sex life was not as active or exciting as many assumed it to be. She made the confession during a promotional interview for her 2018 Hollywood project, “Red Sparrow.”

When Lawrence appeared on Howard Stern’s radio show for the promo chat, she divulged, “I always talk like I want d**k, but the truth is when I look back at my sexual past, it was always with boyfriends. I talk like I like it, but I don’t really do it.”

She then disclosed that she was “mostly also a germaphobe” who had “made it this far without an STI.” “D**k is dangerous. If I was at the point where I could get an STI, doctors have already been involved. That is how much of a germaphobe I am,” the “Passengers” actress said.

However, her reservations about sex have not stopped her from appearing in steamy on-screen scenes with her Hollywood colleagues. In fact, The Blast noted that she and actor Chris Pratt endured an awkward sex scene for the 2016 film, “Passengers.”

Dishing on the relatively tame scene, which was her first attempt at portraying that kind of intimacy, Lawrence told Seth Meyers, “Pratt’s the best, but I was so nervous. I was paranoid about coming across as a predator, for one, because in sex scenes, you don’t know what to do. Is it enough? But your worst nightmare is, it’s too much?”

In the scene that was initially depicted to eager fans, the actress is seen going for a swim aboard a spaceship. The ship, unfortunately, lost gravity, causing the liquid to form itself into a sphere, compressing her.

Although she and Pratt were supposedly stuck in a deep state of sleep on the spacecraft, a violent storm and a subsequent system malfunction caused Pratt to wake up significantly earlier than he was supposed to.

After 12 months of being alone, Pratt spots Lawrence, whom he wakes up prematurely and falls in love with. While at it, the actor lied about his true intentions and effectively killed both him and Lawrence amid the situation.

The flick faced significant backlash from viewers who concluded that Pratt’s character’s actions largely resembled date rape. Other critics noted that even though the film got a PG-13 rating— limiting the explicit content found in it — the ideas perpetuated by the character’s moves were sufficient enough for viewers to reach that conclusion.

Despite the criticism, “Passengers” did well upon its release, almost tripling the money that was originally invested into it. It grossed $303.1 million at the Box Office.

The Blast shared that Lawrence confessed to a Vogue cover interviewer that she was bent on getting an abortion after she got pregnant one time in her 20s. “The Bill Engvall Show” star claimed that she “one hundred percent intended” to follow through on the procedure when she unexpectedly experienced a miscarriage.

Several years later after that, while on the set of the Netflix film, “Don’t Look Up,” Lawrence had a second miscarriage. Once that happened, the Academy Award winner had to undergo a dilation and curettage — otherwise known as a D&C, which is a surgical operation that allows medical professionals to clear out all the pregnancy tissues from her uterus.

Since realizing that she could want — and make a conscious decision to get — an abortion, the “X-Men: Days of Future Past” star has been vocal about women’s rights and the freedom for them to have safe abortions. She reflected on this after the United States Supreme Court decided to overturn Roe v. Wade, saying:

“I remember a million times thinking about it while I was pregnant. Thinking about the things that were happening to my body. And I had a great pregnancy… But every single second of my life was different. And it would occur to me sometimes: What if I was forced to do this?”
