Grayson Chrisley makes a good example. The youngest male spawn of Todd and Julie Chrisley‘s brood got into a terrifying car crash in November. However, the 16-year-old recently revealed his accident may have been overly exaggerated.

Nearly a month after his shocking car collision, the Chrisley family’s rising star opened up about his well-being. Sitting down for a heart-to-heart session with his older sister, Savannah Chrisley, the teenager got candid about his viral accident.

While appearing as a special guest on Savannah’s “Unlocked Podcast,” the 16-year-old looked right at home in a long-sleeve white top, black pants, and matching black sneakers. Grayson added a pop of color with a red baseball cap.

From his casual yet fashionable ensemble, one could hardly tell that the teenager had been involved in a horrible car crash weeks ago. If his demeanor did not show how good he felt, the 16-year-old clarified he had passed the healing stage.

“I’m fine, the trucks not fine, but I am fine,” Grayson admitted before adding, “But it was bad, it was really bad.” However, the encounter was not as dreadful as the media made it.

While addressing reports about the accident, the “Chrisley Knows Best” star explained that the situation had been blown out of context. Unamused by the media’s claims, the 16-year-old said: “They made it sound like I died. It was like, ‘Grayson Chrisley badly injured in a car wreck,’ and I was like, ‘Bro, I’m fine.’ “

According to the TV personality, he posted a picture of himself sweating it up at the gym shortly after the incident and received numerous concerned messages from fans. In the teenager’s words:

“Do you know how many DMs I got that were like, ‘Surprised you’re not still in the hospital?’ I’m like, ‘I was there for, like, four hours.’”

Although the youngest son of the Chrisley family made his accident seem like a little fender bender, his sister did not downplay the incident. Savannah revealed that when she arrived at the scene, her brother’s truck had suffered severe damage.

The blonde bombshell explained that the collision was not a laughing matter as “every airbag deployed,” and the resulting damages shut down the Nashville interstate. Recalling the horrific incident, the podcast host confessed that her “heart sank” upon seeing the destruction.

Per The Blast, the post-crash pictures verified Savannah’s statements as Grayson’s truck was unrecognizable, given the destruction. The accident destroyed the car’s bumper, windshield, and more.

How did such a terrible event occur? The incident happened on November 12 around 5:30 pm on I-65 in Nashville. The 16-year-old was driving his Ford F-150 when he crashed into the rear end of a Dodge pickup truck that had stopped in the standstill traffic.

When the police officers got to the collision scene, Grayson could not answer questions about the accident. Suspecting his incoherence was likely because of a concussion, the teenager was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The truck he collided with reportedly suffered severe damage, while the vehicle’s driver sustained injuries from the impact. However, the anonymous individual declined medical attention.

Both cars had to be towed away, given the significant damages. On the bright side, none of the parties received any known charges or arrests for the accident. The unfortunate event occurred shortly before Grayson’s parents were sentenced to jail.

In addition to losing their freedom, the spouses lost their rights as parents. Per reports, while serving their prison time, Savannah will gain custody of Grayson and her adopted sister Khloe Chrisley, until their parents return.
