Curry, who’s known for his impeccable three-point shots, told Sports Illustrated that he seeks greatness without allowing himself to be consumed by it. “Winning is fun. We all know that,” he said. “But to do it in a way that people speak on our culture, speak on my leadership, you have the respect of people around you – like, all that stuff matters in the big picture. And it’s hard to do.”

Fun is what it’s all about for the humble NBA star. “The pure joy I have on the court, it’s like a spacey kind of attitude. Like, I’m not thinking of anything other than just hooping and having fun,” he explained. “That’s why I have all these mannerisms and joy and happiness out there, because I’m kind of just lost in the game.”

Stephen Curry Graduated From College Earlier This Year

Part of Curry‘s exciting year included graduating from college. When he left Davidson College in 2009, he vowed to graduate one day. He was unable to finish his degree while playing full NBA seasons, but during the 2011 lockout, he took a few classes on campus.

When the college loosened the remote learning rules during the pandemic, he knew this was his chance to finish his schooling and graduate. He would Zoom with professors, work with tutors at home, and FaceTime during Warriors road trips. And all the while, Curry was working on his thesis. All his hard work paid off when he was able to receive his degree during a one-man graduation ceremony in front of his family, friends, and fans.

Curry shared a carousel of photos of his big moment on Instagram captioning it, “Some things are worth the wait! #30 up in the rafters looks right! Humbled and blessed to be up there with the @davidsonwildcat legends. #TCC forever. ALWAYS a great day to be a Wildcat!” The same day he graduated, the college also retired his no. 30 jersey, and he was inducted into the Davidson’s College Hall of Fame.

Being Named Sportsman Of The Year Is “A Huge Honor”

Mega

The Warriors point guard recently filmed a video with a special shoutout for Sports Illustrated, who posted it on their Instagram page. “It’s a huge honor. It’s been an amazing year,” he said as he flawlessly tossed the ball over his head making three-point shots facing the opposite direction. “Shoutout to my teammates, my family and most importantly, doing it for the fans. Appreciate y’all.”

He also filmed a second video hitting full court shot after shot. And while the comment section had mixed reviews about if it’s real or photoshopped, many agreed that it didn’t matter because if anyone can do it, it’s Curry.

“Fake or not, we all are considering this is probably real cause Steph don’t miss!!!,” one fan wrote. Another added, “The fact that people are even considering if this is real or fake is wild ? that’s how good he is!!” One fan dropped his logic into the comments saying, “It’s real. The time even changes from 5:11 to 5:12 and on one shot he even points back at somebody. People just gotta realize he’s the best shooter of all time. Don’t let your hate blind you lol”
