Octavia Spencer Calls Will Ferrell ‘The Smartest Person’ She Knows Just After He Shut Down Heckler During Her Walk of Fame Ceremony
Octavia Spencer is opening up about her friendship with Will Ferrell.
The 52-year-old actress spoke on People’s Every Day podcast about her Spirited co-star.
“I can tell you that Will is definitely not an adult elf,” she had joked, in reference to his movie, Elf.
Octavia added that Will is actually “one of the smartest people I’ve ever worked with.”
Her comments come just a day after Will shut down a heckler who interrupted Octavia’s Walk of Fame ceremony.

According to reports, Will called out the heckler who was passing by, accusing the ceremony of “celebrating rich people”.
“Not on Octavia’s day!,” he shouted towards the man, while shooing him along his way. “Keep it moving. Keep it moving. The wax museum’s down there. That thing is wide open.”
The heckler went on though, but Will persisted as well.
“He’s got powerful lungs. He’s using his diaphragm,” he joked with the crowd. “Louder, please. They can’t hear you in Alhambra. Is that guy up next? Is he supposed to speak? Sweatpants weirdo, is he up here? Should I just go tackle him?”
