One way that many Brits try to get their money's worth at hotels is by nabbing all the freebies that come with the rooms.

Tiny shampoos, conditioners and even body wash all inhabit a drawer somewhere in our houses.

Unless, of course, you’re one of the holidaymakers who refuses to bring their own toiletries in favour of the free ones at your chosen resort.

After all, making sure you only pack 100ml of each can be tricky – though you won't have to follow the liquids rule after 2024.

Sadly, this hidden toiletry perk is about to vanish from EU hotels…

The European Commission is slapping a ban on their use as part of new EU-wide rules on packaging and waste, reports the Mirror.

That means every time you stay in a hotel within one of the EU member states, they'll either have to provide you with a large bottle, or you'll have to source your own cosmetics.
