Obi-Wan Kenobi Trailer Heats Up Inquisitors' Hunt For Jedi
A new teaser trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi heats up the Sith Inquisitors’ hunt for the Jedi. The upcoming Star Wars series premieres this week with not one, but two new episodes. It sees the return of Ewan McGregor as the beloved Jedi-in-hiding, as well as Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. The two prequel Star Wars trilogy stars will tell the story of Obi-Wan as he continues to stay hidden from the growing Empire and keep a careful eye over Luke Skywalker.
An important part of the Obi-Wan Kenobi story will be the Sith Inquisitors, a team of fallen Jedi recruited by Vader specifically to hunt down any surviving Jedi from Order 66. They made their first appearance in the animated series Star Wars Rebels and later went on to appear in the video game Jedi: Fallen Order, making Obi-Wan Kenobi their first live-action appearance. While a few Inquisitors will be shown throughout the series, including the Grand Inquisitor and the Fifth Brother, Moses Ingram’s Reva the Third Sister is set to become the Inquisitor tasked with tracking down Obi-Wan. Ingram and the series’ director Deborah Chow (The Mandalorian) have each spoken of and teased Reva’s ruthlessness in the show as she looks for Vader’s largest prize.
Now, a teaser trailer caught on film by bradwhipple on social media shows just how much fire will be behind Reva’s hunt for Obi-Wan. It shows clips of Obi-Wan kneeling within a ship, most likely meditating, which alternate between clips of Reva on Tatooine addressing an astonished crowd who stare upon a pair of hanging feet. Her voice is a warning as she says, “The Jedi are powerless. They failed you. There is no point in protecting them. Where is Obi-Wan?” Watch the full teaser below:

These words from Reva start to give viewers a clearer look into how ruthless the Inquisitor will be. Like her fellow Inquisitors in Rebels and Fallen Order, Reva promotes the idea that the Jedi are traitors who tried to overthrow the Senate in order to turn the rest of the galaxy against them. She even takes it so far as to pull out her lightsaber in front of Owen Lars as she pursues Obi-Wan, thus endangering the lives of civilians in order to accomplish the task Vader has no doubt set before her. With Obi-Wan being such a personal target for Vader, Reva must be one of his most ruthless and effective Inquisitors for him to entrust her with this important mission.
Viewers will get to meet Reva very soon when Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres this Friday. The new character will join a rank of familiar and beloved characters, and will no doubt be a great match for them. The strength, intimidation, and wit Ingram’s Reva has shown already in clips audiences have gotten to see is nothing short of remarkable and a great setup to become one of Obi-Wan’s greatest threats. In fact, her hunt will likely lead Vader to his rematch with his old Master that’s been teased for many months. With the latest Star Wars series premiere now just days away, it won’t be long until viewers get to see Reva’s full ruthlessness for themselves.
