Once upon a time, Music icon and Billionaire Rihanna and Singer Chris Brown were one of the most popular celebrity couples. Fans and the press stalked them everywhere they went together, and it seemed like they were perfect together until Brown physically assaulted Rihanna and exposed the terrible truth of their relationship.

That was more than a decade ago, and the two celebrities have long moved on. They have also had little to no interaction in public. Brown now has three kids, while Rihanna just gave birth to her first child, a boy with boyfriend A$AP Rocky.

Less than an hour after TMZ announced the news of Rihanna’s birth, Brown posted a congratulatory message on his Instagram story. Although the message had no names, it is pretty clear to tell who it was directed at. Read on to find out more.

Chris Brown Made A Vague Congratulatory Post

In an exclusive post made on May 19th, TMZ revealed that music icon and business mogul Rihanna had given birth to her first child, a boy, with boyfriend and rapper A$AP Rocky. She reportedly gave birth on May 13th. The publication credited direct sources close to the couple with the information.

Just over an hour later, Brown made a vague congratulatory post on his Instagram story. The post was simply “Congratulations” with a prayer hands emoji, heart emoji, and a pregnant lady emoji. While he didn’t specify who the message was for, it is safe to assume that it was intended for the new mother, Rihanna.

It is not at all surprising that Brown chose not to tag Rihanna or mention her by name, especially because many people still remember their relationship and how violently it ended. It can also be because Rihanna and Brown have deliberately steered clear of each other in the years since their breakup.

Rihanna And Brown’s Relationship Ended Badly

Brown and Rihanna had a very public relationship for just over two years until he got very violent. During an argument in their car in February 2009, he attacked Rihanna and beat her up until she was bruised and bloodied. The “Desperado” singer had to be hospitalized due to the extent of her injuries.

Not long after, Brown turned himself in and later pled guilty in court to a felony assault charge. Many celebrities and fans had turned on him by this time, and there was public outrage about his violent acts and tendencies. The “Deuces” singer accepted a plea deal in which he had to undergo community labor, five years probation, and domestic violence counseling.

In a 2012 interview with Oprah, Rihanna spoke about her relationship with Brown and said they were working on being cordial friends. Later, the two got back together for a very brief period between 2012 and 2013 and have since not been seen together publicly or in any friendly capacity.

Brown Has Three Kids

His first child is his daughter Royalty Brown, who was born to model and aspiring nurse Nia Guzman in May 2014. The two were friends for several years before she got pregnant. At the time, Brown was in a relationship with her friend Karrueche Tran. Brown and Guzman fell out when they had custody and child support issues.

His second child is a boy named Aeko Catori Brown, who was born in November 2019 to Brown and model Ammika Harris. Brown and Harris were first linked together in 2015 and again in 2019, shortly before she got pregnant with Aeko.

Brown is yet to claim the paternity of his alleged third child directly, but fans believe the baby is his. The mother, a 23-year-old Instagram model, named Diamond Brown, gave birth to her daughter in January 2022 and named her Lovely Symphani. She and Brown were first linked in 2019, and he recently liked a photo Diamond posted of her newborn daughter.
