An unlikely celebrity pairing seems to be throwing their names into the ring for this particular accolade!

It would be an understatement to say the spotlight has shone quite brightly over the Spears family over the last few years. 2021 brought the landmark news that Britney Spears had finally been freed of her 13-year-long conservatorship, in which her father, Jamie Spears, played a prominent role.

Spears, 41, has been quite vocal on social media following the conservatorship’s termination. The “Gimme More” singer has frequently taken to her Instagram account to reveal intimate details about her personal life, often giving her fans insight into the current state of her relationship with family members.

Spears isn’t the only member in her inner circle who has spoken publicly about the frayed relationships within the Spears/Federline dynamic.

Both Jamie Spears and Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline have expressed their concern for Spears; Jamie has also denied claims made by his daughter and members of her team in the press concerning allegations of his behavior during Spears’ conservatorship.

Inside Jamie Spears’ Public Relationship With His Daughter

It’s no secret Spears, 70, and his eldest daughter have struggled in their relationship.

In the summer of 2022, Mr. Spears filed documents that accuse his daughter of “running a smear campaign against him” via social media, according to our report on the matter.

Spears sought for his daughter to be questioned about her claims concerning allegedly being forced to give eight vials of blood and being forced to speak to a therapist without her consent. She was also reportedly denied pain medication.

Mr. Spears and his daughter’s former husband have maintained a relationship over the years. Spears and Federline were married from 2004 until 2007.

Recently Federline’s attorney claimed the duo’s two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, reportedly prefer spending time with their grandfather as opposed to their mother. According to a tell-all interview Federline conducted with the Daily Mail in August, he would “absolutely” allow their grandfather’s presence to be reinstated in the teens’ lives.

Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, doubled down on his claims following the couple’s statement. Kaplan maintained that the boys miss their grandfather over their mother, although it was never explicitly stated why the 15 and 16-year-olds prefer Mr. Spears’ company over their mother’s.

Mr. Spears and Federline are still friendly over a decade since Federline and his daughter were divorced.

The duo is not only on speaking terms, but they are reportedly close enough to collaborate on a book together!

According to Page Six per the Daily Mail, Mr. Spears reportedly wants to collaborate with Federline on a book about fatherhood.

According to the former outlet, Mr. Spears has “agreed to help” his former son-in-law out.

As of this writing, no further plans surrounding the potential literary collaboration have been publicly revealed.

Federline once spoke highly of his former father-in-law’s care for his daughter. In an interview with “60 Minutes Australia,” Federline revealed his belief that the controversial conservatorship his ex-wife was formerly under was life-saving.

Federline shared he believed the conservatorship saved the now-41-year-old pop star’s life “one hundred percent,” and added he believed Mr. Spears “saved” his ex while she was under the conservatorship. (per The Blast)
