People are going to all sort of lengths to immortalise the memory of Messi lifting his first-ever World Cup trophy earlier this month.

Colombian influencer Mike Jambs is one of them, getting Messi’s name across the top of his forehead followed by three stars on one of his cheeks and ‘D10S’ – a combination of the Spanish word for God and Messi’s shirt number – on the other cheek.

Jambs initially defended his decision, claiming that he wasn’t “harming anyone” and it that he wasn’t “doing anything illegal” but since then, he realises now that it may not have been his wisest move.

“I regret having done the tattoo because instead of bringing me positive things, it’s led to lots of negative things, both personally and for my family,” he admitted.

Messi is still in Argentina celebrating his World Cup win and isn’t set to return to Paris Saint-Germain until the new year where he will be reunited with Kylian Mbappé for the first time since the win against France in Qatar.

Despite being on the losing end, Mbappé still has nothing but respect for his club teammate as they prepare to focus on winning the Ligue 1 title and ending PSG’s long wait for a Champions League crown.

“I spoke to Messi after the match, I congratulated him. It was important for him, for me too, but I lost and you have to show maturity to congratulate the opponent,” he said.

“The most important thing for me is to give the best of myself for my club. We’ll wait for Leo to come back to win games and score goals.”
