Micah Parsons is one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL. Heck, he may be one of the best overall players in the NFL and he’s not even done with his second season in the league just yet.

That’s how good Parsons is and can be, but the stats don’t lie regarding his last three games.

For a player who has made his name getting after the quarterback, the young star has only logged one sack over the past three contests.

That’s not great considering that’s his greatest asset and contribution to Dallas’ defense, but the former Penn State star is taking any criticism coming his way in stride.

First of all, he wants those being critical of him to understand that a player with his talent is literally game-planned for.

Offensive coordinators go into a game against Dallas knowing that they have to find a way to stop No. 11.

Whether that be double-teaming him, using running backs and tight ends to chip him, or simply avoiding his side of the field — that’s really the only way to contain a player of Parsons’ magnitude.

Being game planned against is hard for any player to deal with, but what it’s worth, though, the young pass-rusher does invite his critics to give it a try.

“I promise you, sacking the QB is not that easy, especially when they’re game-planning against it, Parsons recently said, via Jon Machota. “If anybody wants to take my job and step in my shoes, you’re more than welcome. I’ll hand it over and see how you do.”

One has to wonder if Parsons will hand over his $4.2M yearly salary as well.
