August is always in the news forr something you wouldn’t expect; first, it was Jada Pinkett Smith, then the Tory Lanez sucker punch, and now, he has shared that he is learning about “love” through his relationship with a man, something new for him and us!
The confession came at the end of The Surreal Life where August introduced the world to Zu a man that has been making him happier than he could have imagined inky a few years ago. It was beautiful to see the artist smile and it actually look genuine.
His confession has sparked a lot of support from fans of the singer and even a few notable transgendered celebrities!
August Alsina Wrapped In Love
“Happy for him finding love after all he’s been through ?? #lovewins,” commented Johnathan Fernandez of Love & Hip Hop fame. Transgendered radio host and LGBTQ+ advocate TS Madison wrote, “??” as simple as that.
“He didn’t say it was his boyfriend….he alerted to if being someone he loved and who was teaching him how to love…that’s why he pointed out that it’s not the normal…bcz society can’t dare fathom the fact of the same sex loving one another in a brotherly way and not a sexual one….guess we will find out the truth in the next few days after all the smoke clears,” one follower reminded everyone.
Rapper Lady Luck references her own experience coming out; “I always knew it,” she writes and went on to further explain in the replies that even as a kid she knew but it still took her time to stand in her truth.

August Alsina Is Coming Off Of A Huge Scandal
A few years Alsina dropped the bombshell that he and Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith had an “entanglement”. More details revealed that the two were in a full-blown relationship and it started when Pinkett was meant to be helping the rapper heal during a difficult time.
Pinkett didn’t deny the affair in fact, she insisted that it took place during a time she and Will were separated.
However, besides the whole cheating part, followers of the scandal wanted to point out that August was her son Jaden Smith’s friend and it was totally inappropriate for her to be involved with him at all.
August later insisted that he “really, really, really deeply loved” Pinkett.
Not Everyone Believes August Alsina
The singer also has some naysayers in the comments as well who believe that this is just for attention or that the wording is being misconstrued somehow. “He didn’t say boyfriend…”
“Is this what he learned over at Will Smith House?” asked one follower.
“That could just be his friend but he presented him a certain way to get y’all talking to promote him as a new artist.??♀️??? Until I see some kissing ion believe that’s his man.??♀️” insinuated another follower.
Whatever it is, we support what August tells us from his own mouth in that clip on The Surreal Life. If it’s another “entanglement” he will let us know.
