It's a good week for fans of planes and the people who fly them. With Top Gun: Maverick flying on to screens, we also have the first look at new pilot drama Devotion, which stars Jonathan Majors and Glen Powell. See the teaser trailer…
Based on an incredible true story, Devotion tells the harrowing tale of two elite US Navy fighter pilots during the Korean War. Their heroic sacrifices would ultimately make them the Navy’s most celebrated wingmen.
Majors plays Naval aviator Jesse L. Brown, and the film chronicles his unlikely friendship with fellow pilot Tom Hudner (Powell, who also steals scenes in Maverick), a friendship that crossed racial lines of demarcation in the 1950s.
JD Dillard directs this one, with Jake Crane and Jonathan Stewart adapting Adam Makos' book. Christina Jackson, Serinda Swan and Thomas Sadoski also feature, with Devotion due in UK cinemas later this year.
