Bukayo Saka ‘injured’ as Arsenal fans fear he’ll miss North London Derby clash with Spurs

Arsenal fans are currently sweating on the future of Bukayo Saka ahead of this weekend’s North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur.

The England international surprisingly started Mikel Arteta’s side’s 3-0 victory away to League One side Oxford United in the FA Cup. After a goalless first half, three goals in 13 minutes from Mohamed Elneny and a brace by Eddie Nketiah saw Arsenal rip the game away from Karl Robinson’s side.

However, the sight of Saka trudging off awkwardly has sucked any joy gained from their progression into the next round. It is safe to say, Arsenal fans have become very concerned.

“Saka better not be injured with a North London Derby coming up,” one concerned Arsenal fan wrote on social media.”I beg Saka’s injury is not too much! He has to be fit for Spurs game,” another worried Gunner wrote.

“Praying Saka is fine for the North London Derby,” another wrote before one extremely apprehensive supporter wrote “Hate seeing Saka go off like that. Hopefully just a precaution for the NLD.”

“Remove Saka, let the golden boy rest,” another Arsenal fan tweeted, before a startled, and quite possible terrified fan wrote, in all capitals, “Is Saka ok I’m going to be sick”.

Arsenal travel to fierce rivals Tottenham in what could be a season defining fixture. They are already without summer signing Gabriel Jesus who was injured during the World Cup.

While they have so far coped without the Brazilian, losing Saka could be one injury too many for Arteta’s men. He has contributed six goals and six assists in 17 Premier League appearances for the Gunners.

However, Arsenal fans were boosted by the return of Emile Smith-Rowe, whose last appearance in the Premier League was during the 3-1 defeat to Manchester United.
