Kathryn Dennis Confirms Reduced ‘Guest Star’ Role On ‘Southern Charm’
Kathryn Dennis is breaking her silence regarding those reports she was fired from Southern Charm. Spoiler alert, they were right.
Kathryn Dennis Says Goodbye
Dennis has been on the show since season one and along with Shep Rose, Whitney Sudler-Smith, and Craig Conover, a steady 4 among the ever-changing cast. She thanked fans for standing by her or as we see it, putting up with her as she grew up on TV and became a mom.
She is also grateful for the friendships she will “always treasure” and for becoming “a mom to two amazing children.” The fiery redhead knows that fans had to put up with a lot to get through the episodes with her, so she promptly acknowledged that.
“Through it all, the love y’all have shown for me not only gave me the strength I needed to tackle it all but helped me realize that I wasn’t alone. I’m so grateful.”
Kathryn Dennis Is Ready To Move On
The young mother shared with PageSix that she is ready to move on to whatever is next for her. “I’ll be carrying that love with me as I enter this next chapter of my life, away from the ‘Southern Charm’ lens,” she thanked everyone involved in the show.
She is speaking out now that reports surfaced that she was fired and would only appear in a “guest star” role on the popular Bravo TV show. It has long been speculated that Dennis was being cut from the show.
Last season, Dennis barely had any screen time, but this was because she didn’t show up to two big events. At the reunion, she was present and accounted for but couldn’t really offer up an explanation why she was so absent that season.
Of course, off camera, she and baby daddy Thomas Ravenel were going through a lengthy custody battle over their kids Kensington, 8, and Saint, 7 where they have been subtly throwing dirt on one another.
Kathryn Dennis Ticked Off Producers
Just ahead of Kathryn’s departure amid the rumors of her release, the US Sun spoke with a source who claimed that producers of the show were not interested in dealing with Dennis and her messy life this year.
“She doesn’t show up on time or show up at all during filming a lot, she treats people like they are beneath her. She can’t stand anyone doing better or getting more attention than her,” insisted the source.
While Kathryn is out, sources are saying that many of the regulars are returning, Craig, Shep, Austen Kroll, Madison LeCroy, Venita Aspen, and Leva Bonaparte will be returning. As for others like Olivia Flowers, Taylor Green, and Marcie Hobbs, we will have to wait and see.
Filming has already begun on season 9.
