Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania: First Look At William Jackson Harper’s Quaz – Exclusive Image
Ever since his breakout role as Chidi in The Good Place, William Jackson Harper has gone to some fascinating places on screen. He suffered at the hands of the Hårga in Ari Aster’s Midsommar, was caught up in a vacation mystery in last year’s acclaimed series The Resort – and next up, he’ll be seen in the trippy trappings of the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania. His character, simply known as ‘Quaz’, is being kept largely under wraps – but you can take a proper look at him in the exclusive image above, as seen in Empire’s world-exclusive Quantumania cover feature.
What we do know about Quaz is that he’s a telepath – and he’s pictured here with Katy M. O’Brian’s Jentorra, a freedom fighter who’s railing against injustice felt by the teeming communities living in the minuscule metropolis. Here’s hoping Quaz brings some of those Chidi-level smarts to the fight against Kang The Conqueror – Ant-Man and friends are going to need all the help they can get to escape the threat of the MCU’s new Big Bad.
Of course, speculation over fresh characters is always rife – and internet theories have it that Quaz could be everyone from Mr. Fantastic himself (there categorically has to be a Fantastic Four rumour attached to every Marvel project in the coming years), to cosmic Marvel hero Quasar (given his name, it’s easy to see why the connection has been made). In typical MCU style, expect all the secrets to remain hidden until Quantumania hits the big screen in February.
