It’s been 25 years since Drew Barrymore and Corey Feldman have seen each other, but a recent episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show” took care of that distance. The two child stars, who once dated briefly in their younger years, had a sweet reunion and reminisced about old times.

Reunited And It Feels So Good!

The emotional reunion took place on “The Drew Barrymore Show” on Wednesday when Feldman, 51, was a guest on the show. The two old friends took a walk down memory lane recalling meeting as young children and briefly dating as teens.

“Oh, God, I’m so happy to see you,” Barrymore, 47, said as she got a seat ready for her long-lost friend. “We haven’t seen each other in, how long has it been? 25 years!” Feldman added, “We got sober together, we got un-sober together, we got sober together,” he said.

Barrymore continued, “We were such kids together. You know, like, sometimes I’ll say to people, we were just kids like it’s kind of a euphemism. We were in our 20s, we were kids.” Feldman then brought up their first date, asking if Barrymore remembered it, but she didn’t and asked him to tell her about it. “What happened was, I get a call one day, my grandmother says, ‘We got a call from Steven [Spielberg’s] office, and the little girl from ‘E.T.’ wants to meet you because she’s got a crush on you,’” he begins the story. ”

Barrymore then jumped in to confirm that she did in fact have a crush on Feldman back then. “Oh yeah, I did. The biggest. But everyone did,” she said. Feldman replied, “I didn’t feel that way. You know I didn’t feel that way because I was very insecure.”

Barrymore then added her thoughts saying, “But that’s what made me love you because I loved the idea of you and I loved you as an actor and a humor, but getting to know you, that’s what I was always drawn to was your lack of ego. And we were around many nice people, but many people who fell prey to self-indulgence, and you didn’t.”

Feldman continued the first date story reminiscing about their “little playdate” as children, years away from getting their driver’s licenses. “I remember taking you to the movies. I remember exactly which movie theater it was,” he said. “We walked across the street, and you put your little hand up for me to hold. And I held your hand, and we walked across the street. I don’t remember what movie we saw, but I remember all that, and that was the first, and then after that we just stayed friends and then it was years later before we actually dated.”

Corey Feldman Shared The Experience On Social Media

The “Goonies” star shared a carousel of photos of his reunion with his longtime friend on Instagram and explained his feelings in his caption. “THE AMAZING EMOTIONAL REUNION OF 2 CHILDHOOD SOLDIERS, & SURVIVORS OF FAME & FILM. He thanked Jordan Peele for putting the reunion together and everyone else involved, and then continued his thoughts on the happy reunion. “BUT 2DAY IS ABOUT THIS MOMENT, W A LONG LOST GF, THAT U ALL REMEMBER FROM OUR TEENAGE DREAMS, WHEN WE ONCE HELD HANDS ATTENDING THE OSCARS 2GETHER!
