Gorgeous actress, Meagan Good, reflected on her divorce from her ex-husband, DeVon Franklin, and revealed how veteran actress, Whoopi Goldberg, was a big source of help.

Good opened up about the divorce saga during a recent interview she had to help promote the new season of her Amazon Prime Video series, “Harlem,” where she stars alongside Goldberg. 

The “Day Shift” actress was married to Franklin in 2012 and shared ten blissful years of her life with the film producer until both parties decided to split in December 2021 and later finalized their divorce in June 2022.

The talented actress, without mincing words, got very transparent with her fans as she made an eye-opening revelation about some hidden details regarding her divorce from DeVon Franklin.

Appearing on the daytime talk show, “The View,” the actress looked radiant dressed in a brown crushed velvet blazer and had her black hair styled in a short wavy pixie cut.  

Interacting with the hosts of the talk show, including her co-star, Goldberg,  Good, gave an insight into her life and things she’s learned since her divorce from Franklin after a question was thrown at her regarding the touchy subject.

Answering the question about what she has learned through her divorce with a smile on her face, she began by saying, “I’ve learned a lot about myself. I’ve rediscovered myself in a lot of ways.”

Saluting the veteran actress for the role she played in her life, Good, pointed at Goldberg and continued, saying, “Also I gotta say again, Whoopi was very instrumental in that because we had some really good conversations I needed to have that were illuminating for me and eye-opening for me.” 

Moving on from the divorce subject and focusing on herself, she added, “I’m really excited about what’s next. I’m like, ‘All right, Lord, if you allowed it, what’s next, Dad?’ It’s exciting for me low-key. I feel like I get to start my life over in some ways and have a second chance at whatever’s supposed to be next.”

Seeming thrilled about what the future held for her, she revealed that she was embracing her new life with excitement while admitting, “I don’t know what to expect, and that’s kind of amazing.”

Good Initially Didn’t Have Everything Figured Out

The “Think Like A Man” actress appears to have gone through a rough patch last year following the finalization of her divorce from her ex-husband.

Per The Blast, Good, had a self-reflection some days before her 41st birthday in August 2022. Unburdening her heart, she shared a soul-stirring post on her Instagram page. She posted a series of photos of herself enjoying the outdoors as she looked sporty, dressed in a figure-hugging green two-piece consisting of leggings and a tank top which she paired with nude Yeezy sneakers.

Opening up about the post in her caption, she began by writing, “This time last year, as I got excited for my 40th birthday, I had no idea just a few weeks later I’d find out my life was about to change dramatically.”

She further revealed how she had some retrospection during her birthday month and confessed she felt “strong.. Mostly.. But still lost at times.” Getting deeper, she added she still had “moments of sadness” while healing. The “Stomp The Yard” actress, however, optimistically revealed that she was “trying to figure out God’s plan knowing all that He did.. But also still trusting Him- completely…”

Ending her moving message with some words of motivation, she encouraged her followers and anyone going through a tough time to know and believe they are “worthy.”

The ‘Waist Deep’ Actress Now Addresses Herself As ‘Ms Good’

Good, immediately made the necessary changes required after she became a single woman again!

Per The Blast, the Los Angeles native made a statement on social media months after announcing her split from the motivational speaker. She updated her Instagram page with a carousel of photos from SoFi Stadium, where the LA Rams House played against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday, January 17, 2022.

The gorgeous actress made fans giddy after donning a green number 8 Rams jersey, which had a wild quote at the back.

Stylishly informing the public of the new title she answered to, she used her jersey to proudly declare and embrace her singledom with her favorite line from Janet Jackson’s 1985 single “Nasty.”

The line on the jersey read, “Ms Good If Ya Nasty” in large print. Also, her Instagram bio, which used to read “Mrs. Franklin if ya nasty,” was changed to her maiden name.
