But who will star in the new series?

According to The Sun, producers are hoping for Maura Higgins and Kem Cetinay will return.

A source told the publication: “Love Island All Stars is in development at ITV and it is a concept they have been talking about.

“This summer’s series marks the tenth series of the show and ITV thinks there is an appetite for the concept.

“The plan would be to invite some of the sexiest and most successful former islanders to see if they can find love for a second time around.”

An air date has not yet been confirmed, but it will likely air in 2024 following the 2023 summer series.

Producers are also hoping Sophie Piper and Scott Thomas will appear in the series.

The source added: “Women like Maura, Sophie and India would be top of ITV’s wish list, while male stars including former 2017 series winner Kem Cetinay and fan favourite Scott Thomas, who was in the show in 2016, are also on the wish list.”

Former contestant Adam Collard returned for the 2022 summer series of Love Island and while Collard wasn’t a huge hit with fans, the concept of bringing back old contestants certainly was.

We’d love to see Chris Hughes return, mainly for the rapping.

The news comes after ITV confirmed that an ‘older’ Love Island spin-off is in the works.

The Love Island-style show will be geared toward older, single people.

The Romance Retreat will see single parents of adult children search for love in a lavish villa.

Earlier this year, ITV issued a casting call for contestants.

“ITV1 is looking for vibrant single parents from across the UK who are in search of love, for a brand new dating show!

“This is the ONLY dating show where single parents can search for love, by spending time in a luxury retreat.

All contestants will be nominated by their children.
