Last week saw an episode of the adult animation series South Park depict Harry and Meghan in an unfavourable light. The pair were seen holding placards which read, “Stop looking at us!” and “We want our privacy!”

In the South Park episode, titled ‘The Worldwide Privacy Tour’, Meghan and Harry are described as the Prince and Princess of Canada.

While the royals’ names are not specifically mentioned in the episode, the characters featured are a red-headed prince and his wife, who wears an outfit that is noticeably similar to one Meghan has worn in the past.

Meghan’s character on the show was introduced as a “sorority girl, actress, influencer, victim.”

The couple speak publicly about the lack of privacy they get, and the Prince goes on to promote his book ‘Waaagh’, which resembles Harry’s book ‘Spare’.

The depiction of the couple is said to have left Meghan “upset and overwhelmed”, with royal commentator Neil Sean suggesting the episode may have “legal ramifications.”

Sean told Fox News that the couple’s legal team were “casting an eye over the episode”.

However, a spokesperson for the Sussexes has now debunked these claims.

They told People: “It’s all frankly nonsense. Totally baseless, boring reports.”

South Park begins with a disclaimer reading: “All characters and events in this show – even those based on real people – are entirely fictional. All celebrity voices are impersonated… poorly.”

The couple stepped down from their duties as royals in 2020, and have since been speaking out about their time within the institution.

More recently, Harry released a tell-all novel titled Spare which details his childhood experience of grief, as well as his strained relationship with his father, King Charles, and his brother, Prince William.
