Jennifer Lopez and A-Rod Settle Lawsuit Over Alleged Car Accident
Jennifer Lopez and A-Rod are finally dealing with that pesky lawsuit. Where a driver accused them of hitting them in an SUV.
J Lo And A Rod In A Long Litigation
The car accident that took place in 2018 has come to an undisclosed agreement after 3.5 years. The accused has filed a notice of settlement and the details ae confidential, does this mean that he got a good settlement?
Initially, the lawsuit was filed by Liyanage Perera who claims that he was hit by the celebrity couple’s SUV while walking behind an eatery off Melrose Ave in October. At the time, Jennifer and A-Rod were passengers of the luxury car.
While none of them were driving the accuser, a paparazzi made it clear that he believes that they are responsible because they didn’t pre-empt their security team for possible people in the alleyway.
J Lo & A-Rod Supposedly Fled
The accuser claimed in the lawsuit that the couple at the time “quickly fled the scene” according to Complex and, they didn’t even look back to make sure that he was okay. Clearly, he wasn’t because he was able to settle for something in the present day.
Unfortunately, this was the tie that was binding Jennifer and A-Rod together seeing as this litigation lasted longer than then their engagement, the relationship went belly up in 2021 and the lawsuit seems to have been settled sometime in this new year.
The breakup came as a surprise to many seeing as this was the second go around for the duo who tried to make it happen 12 years earlier. Since the second breakup, Jennifer has moved on to ex-boyfriend Ben Affleck who is now her husband.

Seeing as the couple has tied the knot already it is admittedly kind of weird that the singer was still in a lawsuit involving her ex-fiancé. It doesn’t help that the high-profile couple have extensive dating histories.
Ben was married to Jennifer Garner and the former couple is now co-parenting while trying to respect the new significant others in their lives. Affleck was recently seen attending a sports event for one of his kids and of course, Garner was there and the paps to catch the small talk forced upon the couple.
Jennifer Lopez Isn’t Bothered
Meanwhile, J Lo is over here unbothered by having to fork over whatever the settlement required and showing off new matching tattoos with her hubby. The duo shared their latest couple activity and it so happens it was an adventure to the tattoo parlor.
“Commitment ♾️ Happy Valentine’s Day my love ? (Look for more deets on VDay coming #OnTheJLo soon…)” she bragged on IG. She and Ben were glowing in the photos. J Lo’s tatt was an infinity symbol and the lines were made of her and Ben’s names.
Ben’s tattoo was a little more ambiguous. It is two arrows crossed over with the letters “J” and “B” in the center. Not even a lawsuit can get in the way of Jennifer’s wedded bliss.
