Leeds United's sporting director burst into tears on Saturday afternoon as the Peacocks won their first Premier League clash since November.

Vicor Orta was spotted in the director's box with tears streaming down his face after Junior Firpo netted the only goal of the game. Leeds overcame Southampton in a crucial relegation six-pointer, that has lifted them out of the bottom three.

After Leeds' loss to Everton last week, Leeds fans chanted for Orta to go as he headed down the tunnel. Since then, Orta has been responsible for hiring Javi Gracia – who has got off to the perfect start – but sentiments haven't changed towards the Spaniard.

One fan fumed: "Leeds have scored, great. But f*** me I hate Orta, what an attention-seeking p****!"

"What the f*** is Orta crying for, what a total k***head," a second added. While a third tweeted: "What an embarrassment Orta is. Play acting c***."

However, another fan took Orta's side in the debate: "I don't give a f*** what fans say, Victor Orta is the best person in charge we could have. He is passionate as we are, even more, and that's why some can't stand the guy, but he's brilliant and is devoted to the job."

Leeds' next game in the Premier League will be an away clash with Chelsea, before they welcome Brighton to Elland Road the following weekend.

However, the Peacocks also have to contend with a trip to Fulham midweek in the FA Cup.
