People are only just realising they've been cleaning their wooden spoons wrong,Kimmy, of Kimmy's Kreations, shared a video explaining that people have been cleaning their wooden kitchen utensils wrong - leaving people baffled and desperate to try the "proper way"
People are only just realising they’ve been cleaning their wooden spoons wrong
A woman was left stunned after learning that the had been cleaning her wooden kitchen utensils wrong for years.
Kimmy, who posts online @kimmyskreations, was left stunned after seeing a social media video which showed her the correst way to clean her wooden spoons.
The chef decided to make a video herself explaining how to do it when she was having a deep cleaning day one Sunday afternoon.

The clip, which racked up more than 230,000 likes, showed Kimmy placing her wooden spoons into a boiling pot of water instead of just cleaning them in the sink or dishwasher.

She then gave them a final scrub with her Dish Daddy sponge and some washing-up liquid.
"Here I was buying new spoons every six months when I could have just been doing this," she exclaimed.
TikTok viewers were left stunned over the clip as they took to the comments declaring they had been doing it wrong this whole time.
One user said: "Not me going to boil some water asap."

A third commented: "Excuse me…. what?"
"I'm too terrified to do this," a fourth wrote.
Other users warned that prolonged boiling will removed the protective layer of the spoon – but Kimmy argues that cooking with them would do that anyway.
