Silo Teaser: Rebecca Ferguson Is Trapped Underground In Apple’s Dystopian Sci-Fi Series

Rebecca Ferguson is something of a sci-fi action heroine these days – when she’s not sniping down enemies with ease in the Mission: Impossible movies, she’s using mind control to kick ass as Lady Jessica in Dune. Now, she’s headed deep underground in Silo, the new 10-part Apple TV+ series based on Hugh Howey’s bestselling Wool trilogy. Watch the trailer below:

Silo is set in a world where the last ten thousand people on earth live a mile under the surface to evade the (supposedly) toxic and deadly world outside – but nobody actually knows when or why their titular home was built, and attempting to find out often leads to some deadly consequences. Ferguson plays Juliette, an engineer who wants answers about the death of a loved one, and ends up tumbling down a rabbit hole of mystery and intrigue about just what the Silo is, how it started, and whether the outside world is quite as dangerous as she and the other residents are being led to believe.

Ferguson is also executive producer on the show, and is joined in the ensemble cast by David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones, Tim Robbins, Common, Harriet Walter and more. Graham Yost, whose previous work includes Band Of Brothers and Justified, is showrunner, and The Imitation Game’s Morten Tyldum directs the first three episodes.

The first two episodes of Silo arrive on Apple TV+ on 5 May, with the following eps dropping weekly after that.
