Ryan Reynolds’ Mom Stars In New Mother’s Day Ad For Aviation Gin
Ryan and Tammy Reynolds release yet another hilarious ad for Aviation Gin, raising a glass of 'Mother's Ruin Punch' to celebrate Mother's Day.

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds releases yet another hilarious ad for his alcohol brand Aviation Gin, this time co-starring Tammy Reynolds in celebration of Mother’s Day. Aviation American Gin was brought to the market by founders Christian Krogstad and Ryan Magarian in 2006. Twelve years later, Reynolds bought a stake in the company and kept that stake after it was sold for $610 million to Diageo in 2020. With the help of Reynolds’ company, Maximum Effort Marketing, Aviation Gin has become one of the most high-profile liquors in the world.

Reynolds has produced unrivaled ads for his films and brands. For example, Maximum Effort incorporated Back to the Future jokes during The Adam Project‘s marketing campaign, managed to bring Rick Moranis out of retirement, and teamed up with Match.com to promote Reynolds’ company Mint Mobile. In the case of Aviation Gin, Reynolds has continued to attach his signature humor to the brand. He’s encouraged parents to imbibe Aviation Gin while watching The Croods: A New Age and made sure to make use of his gin amidst a Green Lantern watch party. Last Father’s Day, Reynolds and Aviation Gin unveiled a cocktail called “The Vasectomy,” and now his latest ad reveals another new drink.

Just in time for Mother’s Day, Reynolds has released an ad for Aviation Gin in which the actor’s mother makes an appearance. Raising a glass to mothers everywhere, the pair share a recipe for a cocktail called “Mother’s Ruin Punch.” In line with the drink’s passive-aggressive title, the clip sees Tammy be overly critical of her son in that oh so special motherly way. The accompanying text reads, “You gave us life. Thank you for that, Aviation Gin. Shoutout to the moms, too. Happy #MothersDay.” Check it out below:

The ad once again proves how effective Reynolds’ brand of comedy works as a marketing tool. He’s built himself somewhat of a business empire and rightfully made the cover of Entrepreneur Magazine in 2021. And, if that isn’t enough for him, he continues to be one of the most in-demand actors today. Coming off of the Netflix hit The Adam Project, Reynolds is set to appear next in the Christmas-themed musical Spirited alongside Will Ferrell. He’s also set to star in John Krasinski’s Imaginary Friends and Paul King’s Everyday Parenting Tips before reuniting with The Adam Project director Shawn Levy for Deadpool 3.

When Reynolds wrapped filming on Spirited late last year, he revealed he was taking a break from acting to spend more time with his wife, Blake Lively, and their three daughters. When he does ultimately make his official Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Wade Wilson, the Merc with a Mouth will no doubt appear in promos akin to the unofficial MCU debut leading up to Free Guy. If Reynolds deems it so, Deadpool may sip some Aviation Gun when the third installment of his franchise releases in 2023 or 2024.
