Dumb Money tells the story of the GameStop short-squeeze situation of 2021 that sent GameStop’s stock price soaring. GameStop’s stock price has since fallen back to Earth but is still up 300% over the past five years.

Dumb Money stars Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, Pete Davidson, Sebastian Stan, Shailene Woodley, Dane DeHaan, Anthony Ramos, America Ferrera, and Nick Offerman. The script was written by Rebecca Angelo and Lauren Schuker. Among the executive producers are the billionaire Winklevoss twins.

GameStop is now run by billionaire Ryan Cohen, who founded the pet food company Chewy. There continues to be a good amount of behind-the-scenes drama at GameStop, as many have questioned the company’s plans to turn things around.
