Amanda Kloots Takes Trip Down Memory Lane, Visits Old College Dorm

The fitness personality recently got bit by the nostalgic bug, decided to visit her old college dorm apartment building, and shared the emotional moment with her fans on Instagram. The visit was a chance for her to reconnect with her roots and reflect on where her passion for performing began.

In her post, she sat on the steps in front of the building dressed in a black colored coat over a white shirt and dark pants. She paired the look with white sporty shoes and began the caption with the nostalgic feeling that comes with returning to New York.

Kloots had visited her college dorm apartment building and noted that it was the first place she lived when she moved to the Big Apple at the age of eighteen. However, the fitness enthusiast recalled how her broadway dreams started when she wrote:

“I thought about all the times I left this building singing musical theater songs or running scenes in my head on my way to class in hopes that one day I’d be in a Broadway show! ‘If I can make it there I’ll make it anywhere.'”

Her followers showed love to her with uplifting messages in the comments section, reminding her that she was great at her profession, like this person who penned, “Harlem is one of your biggest fans. We love you over here.” While this user described her as a role model, writing, “You are such a role model for so many. Love you❤️.”

Another pointed out her zeal, noting, “Your ongoing positivity and constant optimism in any situation-positive or negative-is truly inspiring! Happy International Women’s Day! ?.” A fourth fan stated, “How special to see how far you’ve come!!” While a Fifth penned, “Congratulations Amanda! You made it to the Top?.”

Fans will recall that the actress became much more popular during the COVID-19 pandemic for her social media updates about her husband, Nick Cordero, who was hospitalized with the virus and ultimately died in July 2020. In September 2021, Cheat Sheet reported that the late singer who was also a renowned broadway star was honored for his role in a musical.

The original cast of “Waitress on Broadway” paid a special tribute to their former member, Cordero, with a pie honoring his memory. The play, which earned four Tony nominations in 2016, resumed performances on Broadway after an 18-month hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

A special ‘Live Your Life’ pie dedicated to him would be part of every “Waitress” production nationwide. In addition, New York City declared his birthday, September 17th, as “Nick Cordero Day” to honor the late performer.

Nick Cordero’s Memory Lives On Through Restaurant Booth Engraving

Kloots revealed a restaurant booth engraving in memory of her late husband, acknowledging his presence even after his death from COVID-19 complications nearly three years ago. The Blast shared that the actress posted an update with her followers, featuring four pictures of her visit to Cafe Fiorello, a New York restaurant, with her loved ones.

In the first picture, she was seen smiling as she looked at an engraved sign, while the second slide revealed the words etched onto the gold plaque: “This Table is Reserved For Michael & Dennis Basso. In Honor of Nick Cordero.”

In the third photo, the dancer pointed at the sign with an even bigger smile before posing for a picture with her companions seated at various tables. The TV star mentioned that she sat at her late husband’s booth the night before and reminisced about her long history with Cafe Fiorello, which she has been visiting since she moved to NYC in 2000.

It became a place for her and Cordero, where they would enjoy the view of Lincoln Center while sipping on Aperol spritz’s during summer days or cozying up in a booth over pasta and parmigiana in the winter. She wrote, “He would think that was the coolest thing. I love going back, eating here, and visiting his table. An incredibly special time.”
