Fans of the 2013 record-breaking film, “Frozen”, will soon be able to step inside the world of Arendelle when the new Arendelle: World of Frozen section opens at Hong Kong Disneyland.

Arendelle: World of Frozen was first announced on November 22, 2016, when the Walt Disney Company and the Hong Kong Government announced their plans for the multi-year expansion. Former Disney CEO Bob Chapek spoke out on his excitement of the land when the company first announced it, saying: “Soon Guests will be able to visit the kingdom of Arendelle with all of its sights, sounds, cuisines, and traditions.”

The upcoming “Frozen”-themed land will offer Guests a stunning atmosphere, unique and fun-filled attractions, and may even allow Guests to bump into some favorite characters from the record-breaking film such as Elsa, Anna, Olaf, and Kristoff.

Fans cannot wait to witness the new land when it opens this year as many commented things such as “Thanks for sharing” and “Awesome!”

As previously announced, Guests visiting Arendelle: World of Frozen will not be able to spot certain elements from the Disney animated films, but they will also have a chance to ride unique attractions, such as Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs roller coaster — a ride that will take Guests on a journey through Arendelle after they pay a visit to Oaken’s famous store.

Guests will also be able to experience an identical version of EPCOT’s Frozen Ever After attraction, located at Walt Disney World in Florida, which takes fans through the story of “Frozen”. Disney Parks Blog previously reported, “Guests will have the opportunity to step into the world of Arendelle like never before and interact with the stunning, real-life scale Audio-Animatronics figures of our beloved “Frozen” characters as they embark on a whimsical journey. It’s been wonderful collaborating with Walt Disney Animation Studios to ensure that every detail of these characters – such as costumes and performances – feels like they’ve stepped right out of the movie.”

Disney also shared a video of the new Elsa audio-animatronic, which they say brings technology to a “whole new level”.

“When you see Elsa performing her signature song “Let It Go,” her facial expressions and body movements will bring her to life like never before,” Disney stated.

When speaking on the new land, Michel Den Dulk, Executive Creative Director for Walt Disney Imagineering, said, “In this time of happily-ever-after, peace and prosperity have returned to the kingdom of Arendelle, guests are invited from near and far to take part in this joyous celebration on Summer Snow Day.”

Although an exact date as yet to be announced, Chairman, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, Josh D’Amaro announced at D23 in September that the new land will open sometime in 2023.
