‘Stranger Things’ Star Turned Down 4 Films After Alleged Sexual Harassment From Higher Ups
Grace Van Dien turned heads for her performance in “Stranger Things,” but while her star is rising, she wants to take a backseat.
Grace Van Dien Is Repulsed
The actress is an avid on Twitch and recently shared with followers that her time in front of the camera could be over just as quickly as it began because she is already expiring that creepy side of Hollywood that no one likes to talk about.
The actress likes really likes live streaming on Twitch so when she realized that her live streams were being taken over by questions of what she will be in next and if she is returning to Stranger Things for the final season, she shut it all down.
Grace meekly said, “I’ve seen that some people are upset with me for turning down acting projects and deciding to stream more, but the fact of the matter is, the last few projects I’ve worked on, I didn’t have the best experiences with some of the people I had to work for,” she admitted.
Grace Van Dien Made Serious Allegations
She got real with her followers and explained that Twitch would likely be her main source of income for the time being.
“One of the last movies I did, one of the producers asked me to…like, he hired a girl that he was sleeping with and then he had her ask me to have a threesome with them,” she revealed. Van Dien then sarcastically added. “So, like, that’s my boss.”
She also shared that she is fine and took care of the situation. “I handled it the right way. I told my management,” she revealed. While she didn’t give up the name of the producer she was accusing, she did share that she wasn’t alone in her accusations.
Grace Van Dien’s Castmate Said ‘No’ Too
After Grace brought the news to her management, it was revealed to her later that a co-star in the project also had the same experience. “My castmate, she was there with me and was like, ‘Did I just hear that correctly?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah.’ And she was like, ‘Want to go talk a walk?’ I was like, ‘Yeah.'”
Grace said that soon after they leaned on one another. “And we just had a miserable time. We cried a lot on that shoot.”
For her mental health, Grace is focusing on streaming. “I get to stay inside my home and play video games and I don’t have my boss asking me to have sex with him.” She likes the control she has over her daily actions by streaming.
Grace Van Dien ‘Will’ Act Again
She made it clear that she enjoys acting and does not intend to let some creeps push her out. She wants to focus on her own projects and get those off the ground. “I’m hoping that someone decides to fund them because then I can be in control of my own set and I’m not going to ask my actors to sleep with me, so that’s cool, right?”
She admits that currently, she has shot down four offers of some cool roles, but she just needs that time away, which is understandable after hearing that.
