Greer has been cast as Amanda, described as a “hyper-confident, uber-organized mom” who appears to have everything together in her life, and she also runs the inner circle at Julia’s (Kemper) kids’ school Amanda will be good with compliments that are actually insults, and she usually arranges babysitting swaps with the moms during school vacations, and swaps with Julia, who watches Amanda’s kids while she prepares her famous dinner parties. However, that ends in disaster for Julia.

Kemper portrays Julia, a struggling working mom who goes looking to her community for assistance. The series is an American adaptation of the BAFTA Award-winning British sitcom, “Motherland.” The series is currently set to stream on Hulu by Lionsgate Television.

The official logline for the show reads: “With the help of new friends Calvin and Liz, Julia discovers she just might succeed at balancing work and parenting from time to time. This is a comedy for anybody who’s dropped their kids at school, breathed a sigh of relief…then realized it’s Sunday.”

Greer recently starred in the Hulu television series, “Reboot,” which was canceled after just one season earlier this year. She’s also slated to star in the upcoming HBO limited series “White House Plumbers” along with Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux, which is being directed by David Mandel. The role earned her two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a comedy series in 2016 and 2017. She also recently starred in Disney+ sequel, “Home Sweet Home Alone,” alongside Rob Delaney, Archie Yates, and Kenan Thompson.

Kemper is executive producing the project with Sharon Horgan, Clelia Mountford, Stacy Greenberg, and Kira Carstensen for Merman Television.
