Rachel Riley, 37, was unhappy with new Countdown host Colin Murray, 46, as he made a cheek quip at her "hippy" dress.

During a recent episode, Colin, who was announced as the Channel 4 show's host in January, was left distracted by Rachel's outfit choice.

He told viewers who tuned in: "Hello everybody welcome to Countdown this Thursday afternoon as we begin another epic journey of numbers and letters."

However, as he introduced his co-star, maths genius Rachel, Colin couldn't help but comment on her outfit.

"Love the dress, very '60s, kind of quite hippyish vibe," he expressed.
