That again!

But first, if you’ve somehow been able to avoid it, watch the original interview here:

The first being that Hugh was super rude to Ashley.

ABC

It’s a red carpet interview, which is essentially free, positive press.

ABC

Celebrities know what they’re getting into when they participate in these interviews, and there’s no one forcing them to do them, so why be a dick?

ABC

Ashley has responded to the drama, telling a TMZ cameraperson, “You know what? My mama told me to kill people with kindness, so there you go.”

ABC

And that’s exactly what she did during the entire interview — she killed him with kindness.

ABC

The other camp is that Ashley completely missed the ball.

ABC

She didn’t get Hugh’s “vanity fair*” joke…

ABC

For those who don’t know, Merriam Webster defines “vanity fair” as “a scene or place characterized by frivolity and ostentation.” So, Hugh was obviously making a joke about how frivolous it all was. Ashley thought he was talking about the Vanity Fair after-party…

Also, Hugh was barely in Glass Onion, so why bring it up?

ABC

Other people say he’s just British, and this is the difference between British and American humor.
