He was originally sentenced to 151 months in federal prison, but that sentence has been extended to 153 months.

Duggar was set to be released in August 22, 2032; however, due to his recent bad behavior and rule breaking, he will now get out in October 2, 2032 per The U.S. Sun.

The prison extension comes after Duggar was thrown into FCI Seagoville’s SHU (Special Housing Unit), which is most commonly known as solitary confinement.

A source revealed to the outlet, “I can tell you that the SHU there is so bad that the regional office was just down there to see what was going on. They’ve been keeping prisoners in the SHU indefinitely, not letting them have DHO hearings, which let them know when they’re getting out.”

Th source revealed Duggar could be in solitary confinement “for months” until his disciplinary hearing.

The Bureau of Federal Prisons states that inmates in the SHU are allowed just “one telephone call per month.”

Visitations are mainly “restricted” or “disallowed” depending on the reason for SHU detention.

We previously reported that one inmate’s family revealed the horrid conditions inmates are living in at FCI Seagoville.

It appears the prison is understaffed in several areas and gangs are running rampant inside the building.

According to an inmate’s family member, FCI Seagoville is a hostile environment and the nearly 2,000 inmates suffer medical neglect.

“There’s not really much security around because they’re dramatically understaffed,” their source with direct knowledge to the situation revealed. “The prison has pretty heavy politics, which means there are gangs in it. Fortunately, it is nowhere near as violent as a medium-security facility.”

They continued to say, “But it is just a dangerous situation, given the level of neglect and so I know that my family member has felt concerned for his, I guess I would say he’s always concerned for his well-being, even if he feels physically safe.”

One inmate sued the prison on claims he was beaten by another inmate.

Per The U.S. Sun, an inmate filed a complaint against the federal prison in October 2022. The inmate claimed staff released him back into the general population knowing he was “in fear of his life.”

“I was assaulted with a lock by an inmate who was paid by other inmates to do the assaulting,” he said of the July 27, 2022 incident.

In terms of medical neglect, the inmate’s family member said the prison doesn’t always hold “sick call” on the scheduled days.
