Celebrity Antiques Road Trip star gutted at jaw-dropping loss on unusual hand set

Celebrity Antiques Road Trip star Rufus Hound was left gutted after his prosthetic hands display came in at a loss.

The bubbly comedian took on the Road Trip challenge as he competed against comedian Chris McCausland to discover who will make the most profit from their purchased antiques.

With both comedians starting off with £400 between them, the two men were tasked with ensuring they gained a profit or only a small loss from the antiques that they came across to later sell at auction.

But 44-year-old Rufus was left feeling shattered when his big money gamble on a set of World War II limbs didn't quite hit the mark when sold at the auction house.

    Rufus' excitement quickly disappeared

    But the pair's excitement quickly came to a halt when they saw the sale crumbling before their eyes.

    Ochuko then said: "It was a glorious dream wasn't it," to which Rufus replied: "It really was!"

    Although Rufus had a promising start on the show and appeared to be winning the competition when his items went up for sale, it was Chris who only made a small loss and finished off with £340.30 which was donated to his chosen charity.

    Chris, who is blind, first broke onto the comedy circuit in 2013 after performing stand up in South London.

    Since then he has gone on to appear on a number of popular comedy shows including Would I Lie to You? and Have I Got News For You.

    In addition to this, he is also known to fans for his CBeebies show Me Too! thanks to his role as Rudi.

    Comedian Rufus, who made a total profit of £274.50 on the show, is also a familiar face on British TV, starring in shows such as Celebrity Juice and Tofu.
