Selena Gomez is Instagram’s most-followed woman, and she wants to hug all her fans to celebrate this achievement.

On the heels of dethroning Kylie Jenner as the most-followed female celebrity on Instagram a few weeks ago, the former Disney star saw a spark in her Instagram followers, which made her the first woman to have 400 million followers on the picture-sharing platform.

She became the third household name behind Cristiano Ronaldo, who has 563 million followers, and Leo Messi, who has 443 million followers, to have more followers on Instagram. To commensurate this tremendous social media milestone, the singer-songwriter shared a roundup of photos posing with fans.

On March 17th, the “Lose You To Love Me” crooner strengthened her hold on the title of the most followed woman on Instagram. She celebrated this achievement by sharing a photo gallery upload, showing her with her numerous fans over the years.

In every picture, they seem to be hanging out and having fun seeing each other, whether on stage while she was performing, at a meet-and-greet section, or just when they camped behind a barricade.

In one of the photos she posted, we see a fan carrying the Netflix executive producer on their back as they laughed hysterically. The background of the snap revealed that it was during Gomez’s Revival tour.

The serial entrepreneur gushed in the simple but expressive caption, “Wishing I could hug all 400 million of you.” The singer’s recent post has garnered over 14M likes and 157,000 comments from well-wishers expressing their love for her

Celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Serena Williams, and Zac Posen, filled the comments with love emojis. One other user stated, “She has that strong woman trait. she’s passed through alot but I have never seen her give up…instead she turns brand new @day…giving me an inspiration of my life time…lol,” followed by four heartwarming emojis.

Another commentator wrote, “If they put you next to the diamond, the diamond will lose its shine ❤️.” A third fan noted his wish, “It’s mv DREAM to hug you one day. I love you so much Sel!! You deserve all the love and support in the world ?.” A fourth user simply wrote “? you are so loved…” “LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUU,” a fifth follower penned.

This is not the first time the singer-slash-actor has become the most-followed woman on the social media app. DailyMail reported that in 2019, Ariana Grande beat her out of the title; however, the Kylie Cosmetics brand owner surpassed them and maintained the post until last month.

After the 30-year-old pop singer got the crown back, many social media admirers proclaimed Gomez ‘the queen of Instagram.’ Rejoicing over the news, one Twitter user penned, “Selena Gomez is once again the most followed woman on Instagram. Queen is back!”

Another user called her “The OG queen of Instagram,” while a third said, “She’s back on her throne. Selena, queen of Instagram!” A fourth tweeted: “Selena Gomez is now the most followed female artist on Instagram and Tiktok. A global queen.”

The Rare Beauty Owner Opened Up About Body-Shaming Comments

Although the “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” actress puts on a brave front, she recently opened up about body-shaming comments from trolls. This verbal abuse comes after the “Calm Down” collaborator was diagnosed with lupus in 2014 and candidly shared her health battle and medications.

However, The Blast noted that Gomez was viciously attacked for being overweight in 2018 after paparazzi snaps of herself in a bikini surfaced online. The “Selena + Chef” host, who tried to stay positive throughout the ordeal, recently discussed how the vile comments affected her in the March 10 episode of the Apple TV+ docuseries “Dear…”

The star revealed that she lied when she acted like she didn’t care about the negative comments. She disclosed, “lied. I would go online, and I would post a picture of myself and say [the negative comments] don’t matter, I’m not accepting what you’re saying — all the while being in the room posting that, crying my eyes out because nobody deserves to hear those things.”
