‘EEAAO’ Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert Working On ‘Star Wars’ ‘Skeleton Crew’
“Everything Everywhere All At Once” directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Sceinert are about to enter a galaxy far, far away as they film at least one episode of the new “Star Wars” series “Skeleton Crew.”
The newly minted-Oscar winners have apparently already completed their work on the new series, which stars actor “Fantastic Beasts” actor Jude Law.

On Monday night, sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the “Everything Everywhere All At Once” filmmakers have already directed at least one episode of the Disney+ Star Wars series, “Skeleton Crew.”
The series began filming over the summer and has already wrapped production. However, the list of directors is closely under wraps. It is possible that the directors, collectively known as The Daniels, directed several episodes of the series.
Although not much is known about “Skeleton Crew” at this time, fans can expect more information about the show to be released during the annual Star Wars Celebration in London next month.
Jude Law Will Star In ‘Skeleton Crew’ On Disney+
The “Skeleton Crew” series was first announced at last year’s Star Wars Celebration event in May 2022, which gave fans their first look at season 3 of “The Mandalorian,” which is now currently streaming on Disney+.
At the time of the announcement, the Star Wars Twitter account tweeted a photo of “The Holiday” actor alongside the show’s logo, writing, “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, an Original series starring Jude Law, from executive producers Jon Watts, Christopher Ford, Jon Favreau, and Dave Filoni, is streaming in 2023 only on @DisneyPlus.”
The series is being developed by Jon Watts, who directed the “Spider-Man” trilogy, and “Spider-Man: Homecoming” with writer Christopher Ford. The project, which had been nicknamed Grammar Rodeo, was given its official title at the 2022 Star Wars Celebration event.

A Vanity Fair article published at the time mentioned that Grammar Rodeo is actually a reference to an episode of “The Simpsons” where Bart and his friends attempt to steal a car and run away for a weekend. The series was also compared to a classic coming-of-age adventure film, which was popular in the 1980s.
The series will take place in the New Republic era and tell the story of a group of children lost in the galaxy who try to find their way home. At the time, Watts told the crowd that it stars four children, each about ten years old, but stated that it’s not a kid’s show. Both “The Mandalorian” showrunners Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau will serve as executive producers on the new series.

In the meantime, Star Wars fans are equally excited to get more news on “Ahsoka.” Production on the series started on May 9, 2022. The Star Wars Twitter account decided to mark the occasion by showing Dave Filoni’s hat hanging off the director’s chair.
Although Ahsoka is voiced by Ashley Eckstein in “The Clone Wars” and “Rebels” animated series, she has been played by actress Rosario Dawson in the live-action series “The Mandalorian” and made a brief appearance in its spin-off, “The Book of Boba Fett.”
Marvel’s “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” director Peter Ramsey has been tapped to direct at least one episode of the “Ahsoka” live-action series. History Channel’s “Vikings” star Ray Stevenson has also joined the cast. He previously voiced Gar Saxon in “Star Wars Rebels” and “The Clone Wars” but his current role is unknown at this time.
Hayden Christensen, who played Anakin Skywalker in the “Star Wars” prequel series, will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader. He also reprised his role in the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series, which debuted last year on May 27.
In addition to more news on “Ahsoka” and “Skeleton Crew,” Star Wars fans can also look forward to more news being released about “The Acolyte” and season 2 of “Andor.”
