Chrishell’s porce was a big part of Selling Sunset Season 3. When she returned in Season 4, it seemed like a big weight fell off her shoulders. She seemed freer and lighter. In Love & Other Disasters, recently porced Dahlia Woodson is going through it. It’s why she decides to reinvent herself on a popular reality competition show, Chef’s Special. In the show, she meets London, a non-binary contestant who doesn’t have the time to worry about klutzy Dahlia. As they get closer, things start to become too real for television.

Christine Quinn is the reality TV queen we love to hate. She definitely has her ups and downs in the show! I found the main character in Heroine Worship similar in this aspect. Aveda Jupiter is self-centered. You can clearly see it in the first book of this series, Heroine Complex. We first meet her as Evie Tanaka’s pa boss, best friend, and all-around superheroine. But in the sequel, the spotlight is on Aveda, and you realize that there’s more to her than just being narcissistic. There are also romance, character growth, identity crisis, and lots of fun moments in Kuhn’s novel.

Maya Vander is everyone’s best friend. If you’re familiar with the show, you’ll notice that some of the girls are not friends with the others. They’re cliquey. This is not the case with Maya. You can see her going to dinner with Christine one day and then hanging out with Mary and Amanza the next day. It instantly reminded me of From the Top‘s heroine, Cami Simpson, who is everyone’s favorite person. She’s popular, which we clearly see when she arrives to parties and everyone wants to say hello to her.

In the novel, Cami just got the worst news in her life, and now she has to move to the co-ed dorm rooms. To make matters worse, her next-door dorm neighbor is none other than Frederick Brady the IV, the guy she knows hates her. But what she doesn’t know is that Freddie doesn’t really hate her; he has been harboring a crush on her for years, and now, there is an opportunity for him to befriend her.

Mary is the type of person who is always ready for the next thing. She is organized, perfect on the job, and continues to sell the most houses in the show. In Seegars’ book, we meet Sloane Kent, a designer working on the renovation of a boutique luxury hotel. Everything is going well until her nemesis, Dominic Alexander, is hired as a contractor by her client. She has a very messy history with Dom, but now working together might create some fireworks between them. Though there is one small issue: Dominic is Sloane’s late husband’s best friend.

Always unapologetic, Naomi can’t find someone to hire her to teach seminars focusing on sex and intimacy. Enter Ethan — a rabbi who has his own synagogue but wants to attract young members to his congregation. One thing leads to another, and they start working together.

I thought hard and long about this recommendation, and then it came to me: I need a book that has a Golden Retriever-type of hero. Romain Bonnet is Mary’s husband, who usually stays in the margins. After Season 1, he’s more involved in the show, so it’s nice to know more about him! He wants to make Mary happy, and I appreciate that.

Silas Wright from Maggie Moves On is like that as well. When we meet Silas, we instantly see he’s a down-to-earth guy with a very big heart. He’s so in love with Maggie, the heroine in the book, and has wanted to make her his wife since day one.

In this book you’ll get to meet Mia, who is stuck working a dead-end job. She isn’t really passionate about it, so she sometimes can mess it up, like printing the wrong document or sending important papers to another place. If she quit, she wouldn’t be missed, to be honest. Which this is why I decided to pair up this book with Davina.

Would You Rather follows Mia and Noah, two best friends who decide to have a marriage of convenience, so Mia can get Noah’s medical insurance. Plus she has the opportunity to go back to school! Marrying each other seems like it can solve their problems, but will these two best friends be able to leave their growing attraction behind?

Amanza is a firecracker, but she also has a lot on her plate. Between being a full-time mom and a realtor, Amanza sometimes has to pause to take a breath — which is understandable!

If we’re talking about superwomen, Meet Me Halfway‘s Madison makes the list. Amanza and Madison have a few things in common, which you’ll see when you start reading James’ book. Madison is a single mom of one, and while she’s taking care of her kid, she also has two jobs (sometimes three jobs) in order to pay for everything. And on top of taking college classes online, and it’s easy to see why Madison is a superwoman. But one thing she didn’t expect is her grumpy next-door neighbor Garrett. Madison assumed he hated her, but he’s somehow always there when she needs him the most.

When we first meet Emma Hernan, she is being bombarded by Christine and the story of one of their exes. (Who’s lying, and who’s telling the truth? I don’t want to put that out there, because I don’t even know, and it’s not something we should worry about.) But I wanted to pair up Emma with Jamie Wesley’s book because I feel like Jada Townsend-Matthews, the heroine in the book, can relate to Emma’s introduction in Selling Sunset.

In this novel, Jada is enemy number one in America after turning down a proposal on a reality dating show. She’s the most reviled woman in her country, and she’s tired of it. People don’t know what happens behind the scenes in television, and Jada is living proof of that. The good thing is that, because of her grandmother, she starts working at a cute cupcake shop — whose owner is none other than a handsome football player named Donovan.

Vanessa is very familiar with Mexico’s telenovelas. She’s even starred in some of them! Now she’s making changes, and one of them is starring on a reality TV show. Ashton Suárez is going on a similar journey in You Had Me at Hola. He just got cast in a bilingual romantic comedy for the number-one streaming service in the country. It’s exciting, of course, but it’s also a 180-degree turn because he comes from the telenovela world. The cast and crew of soap operas are usually small, so starring in a big upcoming show definitely changes his life. Not only in a professional aspect, but also in his personal life after he meets his new co-star, Jasmine.

Now, I know some of you love a good workplace romance. Selling Sunset should have onscreen workplace romances left and right already. Sadly, we’ve only seen one actual office romance, and that one was Jason and Chrishell. As we know, Jason is a workaholic boss who always expects the best from his team. Ash from Boss in the Bedsheets shares those same qualities. In Canterbary’s novel, Ash finds his match in Zelda, his newest assistant. They meet under funny circumstances: They happen to be seat mates on a plane.

Throttled follows Formula 1 legend Noah Slade and his rival’s little sister Maya Alatorre. It takes us all around the world while the Formula 1 season is going on, and it’s exciting to become familiar with these places. Noah has the world at the palm of his hand, and everyone knows it. That is, everyone except Maya, his rival and teammate’s sister, who clearly does not care about his achievements and championships. Soon enough, you’ll clearly see why they are meant for each other.
