Mandy Moore Is About To Become A Mom Once Again!

Mandy Moore announced on Instagram this morning she and husband Taylor Goldsmith are going to welcome their second child later this year!

One thing that may be sweeter than candy to Mandy Moore? Learning she and her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, have another baby on the way!

Moore and Goldsmith are parents to a one-year-old son named Gus, who was born last February. Moore told People after he was born, “I’m like, ‘I can’t wait to do it again.'”

Now, she’ll have her chance!

Moore shared the news of her second pregnancy on Instagram on Friday morning. The sweet Insta-photo featured Gus wearing a t-shirt saying “Big Brother,” a fashion choice Moore’s former “This Is Us” co-star Chrissy Metz approved of! Metz commented, “That shirt is just perfect on Gus!”

Moore’s big announcement read, “One incredibly seminal chapter in my life just ended and the next one, as a mother of two is about to start… and we are ever so deeply grateful and excited. Baby boy Goldsmith #2 coming this fall! Tour is gonna be slightly different but I can’t wait and Gus is going to be the BEST big brother!! Xo”

Moore’s friends, “One Tree Hill” alumna Sophia Bush, and ‘Lizzie McGuire’ herself, Hilary Duff, were among the famous names who congratulated the two-time ‘boy mama!’

Dad was over the moon too! The Dawes frontman also took to the ‘gram to share his happy news.

According to E!, Dawes wrote, “Gus is going to be the best big brother,” and gives his wife an award of the “Best MomOf2…”

His ‘proud dad’ mood was on full display. He finished, “There’s a good chance I’m the happiest, luckiest person you know (or just follow) and now we’re going to double it.”

Baby Goldsmith’s big brother’s arrival into the world was an incredibly personal experience for Moore.

From the moment she went into labor with Gus, the mom-to-be felt like she had a strong sense of control.

Last March, Moore detailed Gus’ arrival on the “Informed Pregnancy Podcast,” as per People.

Coping with the pain of labor felt like “Diving into this wave as it’s coming at me. It was crazy. I think that’s what was so wild to me about just the concept of labor. Trying to imagine what it would be beforehand, and then when you’re in the throes of it… I guess I’d taken all these classes and we talk about breathing and you talk about the techniques that your husband is going to help you with and the different tips and tricks.”

Moore put all of those ‘tips and tricks’ aside and took control when she was in the midst of giving birth to Gus.

“It was my own narrative,” she continued on the podcast. “my own story and everyone else was just in the background.”

Moore’s plan to deliver Gus during a home birth changed at the last second as birth experiences often do, and she was candid about embracing the sudden changes.

Moore had labored for three hours before her doctors noticed baby Gus’ heart rate was dropping.

“It all happened so quickly,” she said, of the development. “It was one second everything was fine, and then the next second it was like, this is happening. And literally I pushed harder than I had. And it went from no baby to a full body out in seconds,” she recalled of the moment Gus had come into the world.

In the moments following Gus’ birth, Moore described those first shared moments with her new son, saying, “I’ve never felt this kind of love. It was like the world stopped again, and you’re not aware of anything else that’s going on… you just have your baby on you. And I can’t imagine anything else mattering,” she explained.
